Ingredients
1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles
1/2 cup sour cream
2-3 tablespoons hot sauce or Buffalo sauce
1 (10 ounce) package Backyard Farms Cocktail Tomatoes, halved
Salt and black pepper
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, minced
Preparation
After watching cauliflower become a vegetarian substitute for Buffalo Chicken Wings, we asked Liz Harris from Floating Kitchen to come up with a similar idea using our cocktail tomatoes. Try them for your next family gathering or game day get together and watch them fly off the plate!
Position the upper rack of your oven so it’s sitting about 4-inches below the broiler. Pre-heat your broiler.
In a medium bowl, stir together the blue cheese crumbles, sour cream and hot sauce.
Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place the cocktail tomatoes cut side up on the aluminum foil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Top each tomato with a small dollop of the blue cheese mixture. Then transfer the baking sheet to your oven and broil the tomatoes until the blue cheese mixture is slightly browned and bubbling, about 4 minutes.
Remove the baking sheet from your oven and sprinkle the tomatoes with the minced cilantro. Transfer to a serving plate and enjoy.
