Turkey + Tomatoes: The Main Event

Thanksgiving is only two weeks away and we're getting in the Turkey-Day spirit by sharing recipes that pair our tomatoes with this festive bird. Last week, we shared a lip-smacking Sloppy Joe recipe, and as promised, today we have a NEW tomato and turkey dish created by food stylist Catrine Kelty:

Braised Turkey Legs in Red Wine and Tomatoes

This hearty dish can be made as an alternative to the traditional Thanksgiving roasted turkey, or anytime during the chilly winter season.  Start out by sautéing bacon and browning your veggies; finish-up the recipe with turkey that falls off the bone.  Keep in mind that this turkey sauce can be served over pasta, polenta, rice, or whatever your favorite grain might be. See full recipe here.

Do you have any turkey and tomato dishes to share? We’d love to feature them. Submit your recipes here.
