It’s our overall goal to provide safe and high-quality tomatoes. No ifs, ands or buts. We base our food safety practices on the high standards created by the FDA and the USDA. Our safety standards and procedures are GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) certified and cover all aspects of our growing process. In fact, in many cases we go above and beyond industry requirements. We grow our tomatoes hydroponically—not in soil—with controlled fertilization. And our tomatoes are trackable down to the date, time and section where they were picked.

When you buy Backyard Farms tomatoes, you know they’ve come from our greenhouse in Maine. We never buy and resell tomatoes grown by someone else, a common industry practice. That’s a promise.
